    The man who went on a shooting rampage at Washington Navy Yard suffered from mental illness, according to reports. Aaron Alexis, a military veteran, was "hearing voices" in his head, had paranoia and sleep disorders, and more. He was being treated for his illness, Alexis' family said.

    Gas prices today will break a record by being above $3 a gallon for 1,000 straight days, AAA said. The streak began on Dec. 23, 2010, and isn’t likely to end any time soon - in fact, AAA expects that $3 and higher are here for good.
