Police believe they have solved a number of Kent County robberies with the arrest of a Henderson, Md. man on Sept. 12.

A Henderson, Md., man, identified as Ashley Howard O’Neal, 30, was arrested Sept. 12 by Delaware State Police on numerous burglary and theft charges.

The burglaries took place between July 28 and Aug. 31. In several instances, the victims had spotted a person matching O’Neal’s description in the area of their homes at the times of the burglaries.

Troopers recovered large amounts of property, including firearms, jewelry, cash and electronics, that had been reported missing. At least one item was recovered after having been sold.

O’Neal was charged with six counts of second-degree burglary, three charges of theft with a value greater than $1,500, four counts of theft with a value of less than $1,500, two counts of selling stolen property, three counts of criminal mischief and single counts each of theft of a firearm, theft under false pretenses, criminal impersonation, and falsifying business records.

He was ordered jailed in default of a $44,500 secured bond.
