  • Dover officers have arrested a Wesley College student, identified as Vaughn Reese, 19, after a handgun was found in his possession.
Police were notified Sept. 10 of a possible incident by Wesley College security, said department spokesman Capt. Tim Stump.
Dover Police contacted Reese while in class in Budd Hall and located a .25-caliber handgun in his backpack, Stump said. Reese, whose home town was given as Slatington, Pa., was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of a weapon in a school zone, and then jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of a $4,000 secured bond.
