The Improving Care for Veterans Facing Illness and Death Conference will be held on Oct. 4.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the pavilion conference room at the Kent General Hospital, 640 S. State St., Dover. This program is designed for health care professionals, physicians, nurses, social workers, administrators, and other staff working in hospice, hospitals, and other facilities.
All attendees will be charged a $35 program fee which includes a continental breakfast, program guide, and 1.5 nursing contact hours. If you are a Delaware End-of-Life Coalition member, you can attend at a reduced registration fee of $25.
The DVD presentation is hosted by Frank Sesno, former anchor, White House and interview host with CNN. The local panel presentation includes: Maria Ash, MSN, RN, GNP-BC - palliative care coordinator, Wilmington VA Center; Saul Freedman, Maj, USAF, MC – flight commander, Mental Health Clinic, Dover Air Force Base; Evelyn Hayes, PhD, MPH, FNP-BC – professor, school of nursing, University of Delaware.
