The Delaware Chapter of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will present is 2013 Blood Cancer Conference Sept. 19 to celebrate September as Blood Cancer Awareness month.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Delaware, 210 S. College Ave., Newark. The conference will provide the latest information about the three most common forms of blood cancer, as well as the most recent research advances and treatment options for these cancers.
The conference will also focus on survivor-ship issues as well as what it means to be a caregiver to a blood caner patient and how to cope with and manage the day-to-day challenges.
The special guest speaker will be Hollywood film designer, Chris Ayers. He will talk about his life as an AML survivor and more.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Registration is free but attendees must register before Sept. 13.
