  • Joseph G. Galgano of Dover passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013, at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. He was 65. Mr. Galgano was born February 28, 1948, in Auburn, New York, to the late Joseph Galgano and Ida Rossi Galgano. Mr. Galgano devoted 31 years of diligent work and care as a school psychologist to the Caesar Rodney School District where he met his wife of 27 years, Shari Lovell Galgano. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Galgano is survived by his daughters, Laurel Galgano Philippakos and her husband Christos, their children, Niko, Ari, and Daphne of Cordoba, Argentina, Cara Galgano Ney and her husband Geoff, their children, Connor and Natalie of Brunswick, Maine, and Katie Galgano of Dover; sister, Mary Vergamini and her husband John of Raleigh, North Carolina; and two nieces and a nephew. Always keen to learn more and to fix a problem, Mr. Galgano became a Microsoft Certified Professional after his retirement and opened his own private computer repair business in which he helped many in need. His loved ones will remember him for this love of computers, golfing, bowling, his “hot-ta-rod” silver Mustang convertible, and, above all, the countless laughs and immeasurable love he showered them with. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday August 30, 2013, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, DE.
