Police have identified two men, Tyree M. Bordley, 21, and Perry S. Brooks, 27, as suspected a case of shots being fired in the Cannon Mills development.

Two men suspected of having fired gunshots in the Cannon Mills development have been identified and are being sought by Dover Police.

The pair are Tyree M. Bordley, 22, and Perry S. Brooks, 27, said police spokesman Lt. Dan McKeown.

The men became suspects after police responded at 8:43 p.m. Aug. 21, to a call of shots being fired in the 200 block of Sheldrake Circle. Officers encountered a vehicle matching the description of a possible suspect, but as they tried to make contact, two men fled on foot.

A search of the area began, with one of the men spotted in the Cranberry Run development; that person fled toward the Heatherfield area, McKeown said. The search was abetted by the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit, but neither the men nor a weapon was found.

Further investigation developed Brooks and Bordley as the suspects.

The pair now are wanted on charges of loitering and resisting arrest, although other charges are pending further investigation, McKeown said.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 736-7111. Callers may remain anonymous.
