  • Detectives with the Delaware State Police Financial Crimes Unit are looking for a Dover woman who allegedly cashed 10 checks after forging her father's name.
The suspect is identified as Stacy R. Minnick, 37, said police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.
Fournier said that beginning in April, Minnick took the checks from her father's home, signed them using her father's name and made them payable to herself.
The man's credit union brought the transactions to his attention and police began their investigation on July 18. In all, the account was depleted by more than $1,300.
Minnick is facing at least 10 counts each of second-degree forgery and theft of property valued at less than $1,500.
Anyone with information as to Minnick's whereabouts is asked to contact Det. K. Willard of the Delaware State Police by calling 741-2808 or use the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip Application available at www.delaware.gov/apps.
