I developed a love for hard cider last summer. A good cider can be as complex as a good beer, and they are ultra-refreshing – a perfect beverage to combat 90 degree days.

One of my favorites is the Fatty Bampkins’ Cider from Maine. This cider is made with seven different locally grown apple varieties, and is fermented Bourbon and rye barrels. I love the bourbon flavors, as well as the vanilla notes you get from the barrels. The best thing is, you don’t lose the refreshing quality of the cider.

The cider is available in 22-ounce bombers. Even better is their dry cider. Seek them both out.
