  • A 17-year-old Milford juvenile was arrested by the Harrington Police Department July 20 for allegedly providing police with false information, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police spokesman Lt. Earl Brode said officers on patrol observed a juvenile, matching the description of a suspect in an earlier complaint police were investigating, standing in front of a business on Commerce Street.
While speaking to an officer, the juvenile provided false information. The suspect resisted the officer while the officer attempted to place handcuffs on him. After a brief struggle the juvenile was taken into custody, Brode said.
Upon searching the juvenile, officers located 18.2 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A computer check revealed that the juvenile also had a warrant out of Kent County Family Court.
The juvenile was transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing and charged with possession of marijuana, criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a criminal summons on all charges and released to his parents pending a future court appearance in Kent County Family Court.
