- Evaluation of the extent of the incontinence
- Education about the bladder, pelvic floor muscles, and emptying techniques
- Tips on lifestyle changes for diet/fluid management
- Exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles
- 1-2 office visits per week for 3-4 weeks (depending on need)
- At-home exercise program
- Periodic return to office to check progress and make any necessary adjustments to treatment plan
- EMG/Biofeedback and/or electrical stimulation of the pelvic floor muscles (if necessary)
