A 43-year-old Harrington woman, identified as Tammy A. Irizarry, and a 17-year-old male juvenile were arrested by the Harrington Police Department in response to an assault complaint on July 14.
A 43-year-old Harrington woman, identified as Tammy A. Irizarry, and a 17-year-old male juvenile were arrested by the Harrington Police Department in response to an assault complaint made July 14.
Police spokeman Lt. Earl Brode said the Harrington Police Department was contacted by a 15-year-old male victim on Sunday, reporting he had been assaulted in the first block of East Center Street in Harrington. The victim sustained minor injuries.
During the investigation officers identified the 17-year-old juvenile suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.
The 17-year-old juvenile suspect was taken into custody on July 15 and transported to the Harrington Police Department and processed. He was charged with offensive touching, third-degree conspiracy and disorderly conduct and released to the custody of his parents pending a future court appearance in Kent County Family Court.
During investigation police also determined that Irizarry was present during the assault, failed to stop the assault and urged the juvenile suspect to continue assaulting the victim.
On July 16 Irizarry was taken into custody and processed at the Harrington Police Department. She was charged with third-degree conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child. Irizarry was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released a $2,000 unsecured bond.
