A 20-year-old Dover man, identified as Deshawn Q. Harrington, was arrested by the Milford Police Department on July 8 and July 9 for domestic disputes that occurred June 9, July 8 and July 9.
According to police, officers initially responded to a report of domestic dispute at a residence on Allen Way in Brightway Commons Apartment Complex in Milford on June 9. Upon arrival officers made contact with a 21-year-old female victim and investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect engaged in a verbal dispute that turned physical as Harrington punched the victim in the face and stomach causing minor injuries. Harrington fled the residence before officers arrived. The female victim did not receive medical treatment and Harrington was banned from the residence after the incident.
On July 8, the Milford Police Department received information, which was confirmed the following day, that Harrington was at the residence in Brightway Commons Apartment Complex. Harrington was located and arrested by police on a nearby street and taken into custody. He was arraigned and released on a $1,000 secured bond.
The next day, July 9, the Milford Police Department returned to the same residence after receiving a report that Harrington had returned. As officers arrived, Harrington fled out of a window in the residence. He was later located on foot and taken into custody by Milford Police.
Harrington was charged with third-degree assault, criminal mischief under $1,000, two counts on breach of release, harassment, resisting arrest and two counts of third-degree criminal trespass. Harrington was arraigned and released after posting bond.
