Harrington Police have arrested Michael Stevens, 15, of Harrington after investigating a burglary complaint.
The incident took place Tuesday in the 100 block of Commerce Street, said police department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode. Responding to a call about a home break-in, officers discovered someone had entered the house by breaking a window. Once inside, the burglars sprayed graffiti on the walls and damaged the interior, Brode said.
Officers identified Stevens as a suspect and arrested him at his home without incident. Officers believe others were involved, but no additional suspects have been identified.
Stevens was charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, second-degree conspiracy, criminal mischief under $1,000 and graffiti to real property under $1,500.
He was turned over to a family member pending a future appearance in Kent County Family Court.
Brode asked that anyone with information about this burglary call the Harrington Police Department at (302) 398-4493.
