  • Viper baseball keeps winning

  • A baseball team from the Middletown area is 5-0 in a tournament in Georgia.

  • The Delaware Viper 15U Showcase Team is competing in the 192 team Perfect Game Showcase Event in East Cobb, Georgia.
    Play began on Friday, June 21 and will run through June 28.
    The Vipers are currently 5-0 and seeded first in their eight-team bracket. They have defeated teams from St. Louis, Alabama, Virginia, Georgia and South Carolina.
    The Vipers are managed by Tony Marenco and coached by Dan Coates, Steve Kurych, Greg Collins and Matt Marenco. The team includes Julian Kurych (Appoquinimink), Aaron Coates (Glasgow), Bryce Carney (Caravel), Troy Marenco (Caravel), Dexter Marchan (Caravel), Quintin Ivy (Caesar Rodney), Kyle Adams (St. Georges), Jake Bialecki (Delaware Military Academy), Beck Million (Salesianum), Tyler Collins (Sussex Tech) and Ryan Guckin (Avon Grove HS, PA).
