  • Lola M. Sapp passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89. Lola was born on June 18, 1924 in Hazlettville, Delaware, daughter of the late Felix and May (McClements) Rigby. She had worked for Underwood of Dover for 25+ years and later enjoyed her life as a homemaker. Lola was an avid reader, loved shopping, country music and spending time with her family especially her great granddaughter Brittany Lynn whom she idolized. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Raymond Sapp, her granddaughter Terri Lynn Tieman, her siblings Daisy Sweetie Glanden, Beatrice Kemp, Roland Rigby, Reese Rigby and Thomas Rigby and Reds Rigby. She is survived by her daughter Doris Ann Whealton of Dover, her beloved great granddaughter Brittany Lynn Tieman, a brother Grover “Ducky” Rigby and his wife Chrystyna of Marydel, a sister Lillian “Turk” Johnson of Dover and Elizabeth “Libby” Rigby Hebert and her husband Paul of Dover. Visitation will be 7-9 pm Sunday, June 30 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 1 pm Monday, July 1 at the funeral home where friends may also gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
