Three persons, Bradford Husfelt, Clayton Adam and Daniel Legg, have been arrested in connection with a robbery at the Royal Farms store parking lot at Pearson's Corner.
Delaware State Police and Dover Police joined forced Wednesday night to apprehend three men who allegedly robbed another man at an area convenience store.
The incident took place at 8:15 p.m. at the Royal Farms store at Pearson's Corner, said police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier. The victim said he had obtained $200 in cash from the store ATM and was walking across the parking lot when he was approached by one of the suspects, later identified as Bradford J. Husfelt, 19, of Dover. The victim said Husfelt grabbed the money and ran off to the other side of the store. The victim gave chase in his car after he spotted a white station wagon leaving the parking lot in a reckless manner, Fournier said.
The victim followed the station wagon as it was driven eastward on Route 8 toward Dover, and called 911 to report the chase. At one point during the chase, Fournier said a front seat passenger pointed a handgun at the victim and his 25-year-old female passenger.
Dover Police stopped the car as soon as it entered the city limits and took the occupants into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle turned up $200 in cash and a 9 mm pistol.
In addition to Husfelt, officers also arrested Clayton L. Adam, 20, of Dover and Daniel C. Legg, 17, of Hartly.
All were charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated menacing, second-degree conspiracy and theft under $1,500.
Husfelt and Adam were committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of $14,500 secured bond; Legg was released to a parent on a $14,500 unsecured bond.
None of the victims were injured in this incident, Fournier said.
