New Delaware State University head women’s soccer coach Kerri Scroope has announced three additions to the team for the 2013 season.
Signing to attend the university and compete for the Hornets this fall are freshmen Yeraldin “Dina” Isham of Southbury, Conn.; Morgan Pottinger of Upper Marlboro, Md.; and Taylor Pratcher of Milford, Conn.
Isham was an All-South West Conference selection as a senior at Pomperaug Regional High School. She helped lead the team to the Connecticut State Tournament semifinals for the first time in school history last season. A premier soccer league player since age 11, her travel team experience includes two years with Yankee United, three with Western United; and two with Highlander FC.
Pottinger was a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and All-Prince George’s County (Md.) selection as a senior at Bishop McNamara High School in 2012. As a freshman in 2009, she was named to the All-Maryland Independent Schools Athletic League First Team. Pottinger has also competed for the Maryland Lions Swarm Women’s Premier League team.
Pratcher, a three-year varsity letter winner at Trumbull High School, was a 2012-13 All-Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Second Team selection. She helped lead the team to a conference regular season championship, conference tournament final appearance and state tournament semifinals. Pratcher was a member of Golden Eagles’ 2011-12 state championship team. She has also competed for the Yankee United Blaze club team the past seven years.
