Cheswold Police have arrested a Missouri fugitive following a traffic stop.
The suspect, identified as Ross Madison, 38, of St. Louis, was stopped near Leyland Lane in Cheswold, said Chief of Police Christopher Workman.
Madison allegedly was driving 38 mph in a 25 mph zone, Workman said.
Madison surrendered his insurance card and driver's license to the patrol officer while admitting the license was suspended in Missouri, Workman said.
The officer confirmed Madison was wanted by police in St. Louis County on burglary and traffic charges; police there said they would request Madison be extradited based on the burglary charge.
Madison was charged in Delaware for speeding, failing to have a valid driver's license and failure to have a registration card in his possession.
He was confined to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, pending extradition back to Missouri.
