  • Delaware State Police detectives have arrested a Camden-Wyoming man in connection with an alleged rape.
The investigation began April 30 when the victim came forward and disclosed a past relationship with the suspect, identified as Jason S. Anker, 32, said police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier. The woman, who now is 19 years of age, was 15 years old at the time.
The investigation revealed that beginning in October 2008 Anker would pick up the victim and two siblings from their home in New Castle County and bring them back to his house in Camden-Wyoming, where he would care and supervise them for various weekends.  During that time, Anker allegedly began committing lewd acts with the girl, which then led to an intimate relationship lasting until October 2009.
Detectives executed a search warrant on Monday at Anker’s home in the 600 block of Wynn Wood Circle. Fournier said the officers found a large amount of teen-based pornography, which was seized along with several computers.  Anker was not at the house during the search, but was later taken into custody.
Anker was charged with a single count of first-degree rape, 21 counts of fourth-degree rape and a count of first-degree unlawful sexual contact.
He was jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of a $265,000 secured bond, and ordered to have no contact with children under the age of 18.
