  • A 7-year-old boy, named Philip, donated more than $50 from his lemonade stand to benefit his Aunt Arlissa and her friends at Easter Seals.
"It was Philip's idea to donate to Easter Seals 'because that is where Aunt Arlissa goes'," Philips mom, Leslie, says, quoting her son. "He said he wanted to 'help her friends that are now my friends'."
Philip's donation will go to support Easter Seals services like the Community Experiences program, where his aunt has attended for nine years. The program incorporates activities in the community during the day, including opportunities for participants to engage in paid or volunteer work.
Easter Seals offers a range of services, including children's therapies, assistive technology, recreational camping, and day programs for adults with physical or intellectual disabilities and respite services for caregivers.
