  • State Police investigate single vechicle fatal crash west of Harrington

  • At around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday May 6 Daniel Richardson was driving his 2006 Ford F250 pick-up truck south on Fox Hunters Road in Harrington. Richardson lost control of the truck while trying to navigate a curve in the road. The truck spun out of control, struck an electrical pole, a cement culvert and then rolling and coming to a stop in a cornfield, according to Delaware State Police.

    Richardson, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the crash, but it is believed that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, according to State Police.
    Fox Hunters Road was closed for approximately two hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.
