Your photo of an angler enjoying the outdoors could soon grace the pages of the 2014 Delaware Fishing Guide.
DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife is calling for submissions for its second-annual Delaware Fishing Photo Contest with the winning entries to be featured in next spring’s guide.
Ruth Reynolds of Townsend earned honorable mention in last year’s contest. Her photo, taken at Noxontown Pond, is featured in the 2013 Delaware Fishing Guide, which is currently available at the DNREC website and authorized fishing license dealers statewide.
All entries in this year’s photo contest will be judged by a panel of DNREC staff based on resolution, clarity, composition and the best portrayal of this year’s theme, “Conservationists Enjoying the Outdoors.”
“After the success of last year’s contest, we are hoping that once again photographers from all over the state will share some of their best images with us, so we can share them with the fishing public,” said Division of Fish and Wildlife Director David Saveikis.
The contest is open to Delaware residents of all ages, with a maximum of three entries per person. Submissions must be taken in Delaware to qualify.
Entries must include a completed and signed entry form and be mailed to the attention of Crystal Beck at the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife, 89 Kings Highway, Dover, DE by Oct. 15.
