  • Detectives with the Dover Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit are probing a break-in at a Lotus Street home and an attempted break-in nearby.
    The burglary took place between 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, said department spokesman Lt. Daniel McKeown.
    The burglar entered the first home, in the 200 block of Lotus Street by prying open a rear door; an undisclosed amount of money was taken, McKeown said. Detectives also discovered someone had tried to open a door at a home in the 100 block of Lotus Street, but was unsuccessful.
