Like a Smurf, the only color that matters to the Tom Larsen Band are shades of blues. This means you shouldn't be surprised when the outfit redecorates Fire & Ice at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to resemble the Smurf's enchanting village for its gig tonight.

Having blanketed the East Coast with cozy melodies for more than two decades, Larsen began as a solo performer, specializing in the acoustic blues of the '20s and '30's, covering artists such as Blind Willie McTell and the legendary Robert Johnson. Larsen's known for using his clean slide guitar playing and ability to juggle playing the harmonica simultaneously. He eventually taught himself the electric guitar and formed his own original outfit, which mixes in classic blues, funk and soul.

Most of the tunes you'll hear from the TLB are predominately, if not totally, original.
