  • Josephine Bravata Rowlinson (85) of Melbourne, FL passed away peacefully at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL on Friday, May 10, 2013. She was born in Dover on February 7, 1928, to the late Anthony and Meta Bravata; Josephine graduated from Dover High School in 1946. In 1963 she moved to Birmingham, Michigan with her family and began to work for Standard Federal Savings. After 25 years of service she retired and moved to Pt. St. Lucie, FL to be near her 3 children. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and most of all being with her family, especially the 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving mother and she will be dearly missed. Mrs. Rowlinson is survived by her 3 children, Kevin, Rob and Leslie; 6 grandchildren, Kristin, Kellye, Austin, Carly, Alex and Kyle; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kalina and Kamyra, all of Florida. Also survived are her sisters Hazel Suchko of Dover, and Rose Adams of Felton; and predeceased by her brother Robert and sister June. A private service will be held in Winter Park, FL. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
