Paul Haxton of Hartly, DE passed away Sunday May 19, 2013 at Pinnacle Rehab Center, Smyrna. He was 54. Mr. Haxton was born January 27, 1959 in Abilene, Kansas to the late Walter L. Haxton and Mary Kathryn Wissing Haxton. He was active duty in the Air Force Reserve as a technician and had mentored many young people when they joined the Air force.Mr. Haxton had worked as an electrician for the federal government for 23 years retiring in 2005. Mr. Haxton spent most of his life in Delaware and grew up as an Air Force child. He enjoyed camping, volleyball, sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Paul Haxton in 2010. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan B. Walls Haxton of Hartly; children, Matthew Haxton and his wife Brandy of Camden, Karen Miller and her husband Christopher of Smyrna, and Lisa Haxton of Hartly; daughter in law, Trina Haxton of Middletown; grandchildren, Justice Haxton of Hartly, Logan Haxton of Wake Forest, NC, Jasmyn, Jaydan and Alyssa Haxton all of Hartly, Lyndsey and Haley Haxton both of Middletown; siblings, Joseph Haxton and his wife Pam of Cordova, MD, Barbara Victory and her husband William of Dover, Richard Haxton and his wife Kit of Georgetown, David Haxton and his wife Linda of Camden, Linda Prevatt and her husband Darrell of Decatur, AL, Jeff Haxton and his wife Trisha of Decatur, AL, Anne Houck nad her husband Mickey of Biloxsi, Miss, Stephen Haxton and his wife Charlotte of Marlton, NJ, Michael Haxton and his wife Lynn of Bowie, Md and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12PM Saturday May 25, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, DE. Friends may call from 6-8PM Friday evening and then 11-12 Saturday. Interment will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S.
