The Dover Senators baseball squad were on quite the win streak entering their game on Thursday against Seaford. That streak would continue after Seth Penniston and the rest of the Senators took down Seaford 5-1 on Thursday for their 6th victory in a row.

Penniston pitched 3 scoreless innings before giving way to the bullpen consisting of Jared Rowley, Kendall Small and Ian Gory who gave up only 1 run over the final 4 innings of play.

Dover had to deal with some strong pitching from Seaford starter Dylan Kensinger who went the distance for the Seahawks but allowed 5 runs on 6 hits in the Senator's victory.

Dakota Graham and Zach Stone both scored 2 runs for the Senators in the win.

After going ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the first, the Senators bats were quiet until the 4th when they were able to put 3 runs across the plate against Kensinger.

Seaford finally got on the board in the top half of the 6th but the Senators were able to respond with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

Gory entered the game in the 7th inning to close the door on any Seaford comeback hopes.

The Senators now have a record of 11-4, leading the way in the Henlopen North Division. Now, entering the final week of regular season play the Senators could solidify a spot within the State Tournament with a good showing this week against Indian River, Caravel and Polytech.

Dover will play Indian River on Tuesday afternoon after press-time.

The Senators return to the field on Wednesday afternoon when they host Caravel before finishing out their schedule on Friday against the Polytech Panthers.
