  • KiYon Tovaye Ian George Henderson came into this world January, 14, 1988 in Swindon, England to Johnny and Bernice Henderson, and returned to the Lord on May 3, 2013 in Dover, DE. He graduated from Dover High School and developed many close friendships while there. He was 25 years old.
KiYon was a loving caregiver to his mother for many years and we will be forever grateful for his devotion to her. He loved football and especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and was a loyal fan… you would have thought he was a member of the team due to his enthusiasm. He also loved playing the sport himself, and rooting for the Oregon Ducks and the Dallas Mavericks. He loved to dance and loved to laugh… his laugh will be missed.
KiYon is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Lou Ellen Waits and paternal grandfather George Henderson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents – Johnny and Bernice Henderson, his sisters – Sharon Biles, Kimberly Henderson and Shemara Henderson, his beloved nieces, Taylor Biles and Liya Alford, his grandmother, Minnie Henderson and his entire extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be remembered by his very close friends and all who were blessed to know him as a gentle giant with a mile wide smile.
KiYon is being taken home to Alabama to rest amongst his extended family. Services will be held Saturday, May 11th in Montgomery.
A memorial service for KiYon will be held on Sunday, May 12th at Bethuel Seventh Day Adventist Church 25 Queen St Dover De. At 4:30 p.m.
