While the season hasn't gone the way the Lake Forest girls soccer team may have wanted, the young squad has seen some improvement this season. On Saturday, that hard work was rewarded with a 4-1 win over Pencader.
Morgan Gannon 2 first half goals for the Spartans leading the way on Saturday afternoon.
After an early Pencader goals cut the Spartan lead to 2-1, Kori Johnson and Summer Morgan would add goals 6 minutes apart to help Lake Forest pull away.
The win for Lake Forest is just their third of the season, however, they've done so with a team made predominantly of underclassmen.
They'll look for another win on Tuesday when they travel to Laurel. With just 3 regular season games left, the Spartans hope to end it with a few more W's.
