A Dover man was shot in the hand during an attempted robbery in Felton, Delaware State Police said.
The 22-year-old victim was approached by a man as he was leaving a house on Plymouth Road in Felton. The man demanded that the 22-year-old hand over everything he had. When the victim refused the man pulled a gun from his waistband and fired. The 22-year-old, who was fleeing, was hit in the hand. The suspect fled. The victim was driven to the emergency room by a friend and treated. Police were alerted to the incident by Medical staff at Kent General.
