  • Dover Police have arrested a local man on charges he intended to sell 12.3 grams of cocaine.
The arrest was made at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, said police spokesman Capt. Tim Stump. Officers had gone to an address in the 400 block of New Castle Avenue, Capital Green to conduct a curfew check on Antoine Burgess, 24.
Upon investigation, it was learned Burgess was in possession of the cocaine, which had been packaged for sale, Stump said. There also were three children in the home, Stump added.
Burgess was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was ordered jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna in default of a $10,000 cash bond.
