One person was rescued from a vehicle that crashed into a Dover building Saturday.

Emergency medical personnel on Saturday safely removed an individual from a car that had crashed into a Dover building.

The crash took place 9:21 a.m., said Dover Fire Department spokesman Michael J. O'Connor Jr., when the vehicle ran into a structure at 1030 S. DuPont Hwy. The crew from one fire engine secured power to the building while others stabilized the vehicle, O'Connor said.

Emergency medical services personnel took the individual to a local trauma center.

The name of the individual in the car was not released.

The case is under investigation by the Dover fire marshal and building inspector.
