See Franklin D. Roosevelt like never before in the comedic drama "Hyde Park on Hudson" on Saturday at Dover Public Library.
Starring the zany Bill Murray, the movie focuses on the relationship between FDR and a distant cousin, Daisy Suckley, who's first called to the Roosevelt home in Hyde Park to provide the president with companionship and becomes a household fixture as a romance develops.
The main event in "Hyde Park" is the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, whose goal is to obtain FDR's support for Britain in World War II. They seem out of place in the relatively modest Roosevelt home and must be good sports at a picnic featuring Native American entertainment and hot dogs. Murray's performance earned critical praise and a Golden Globe nomination. The film is rated R.

WHAT Shades of August in concert
WHEN 8:30 p.m., Saturday
WHERE The Green Stinger Sports Bar and Grill, 492 Walnut Shade Road, Dover

Based in Dover's backyard, the quintet Shades of August blurs the lines between modern and classic rock.
Often compared to bands like 3 Doors Down, Shades of August's sound is the result of influences that are as varied as the members themselves. From AC/DC to Matchbox Twenty and many in between, the five amigos manage to forge a unique sound that captures both raw and emotional storytelling. SOA's soul-drenched lyrics and full melodies stand out in the sea of vanilla music.
While SOA's best known for its original songs, the band isn't afraid to cross over into covers, so don't be surprised if you hear a few when they gig at the Green Stinger on Saturday.
