A 30-year-old Magnolia man has been charged with his third driving under the influence offense.
Harrington Police arrested Adam R. Southard at approximately 11:31 p.m. April 11 in the area of Route 13 and Route 14, said department spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode.
After stopping the vehicle for a traffic violation, officers noted the smell of alcohol, Brode said. Southard refused to take the field sobriety tests and refused to blow into an intoxilyzer, and was taken into custody and driven to Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital for a blood draw.
A computer check at police headquarters indicated Southard had alcohol-related convictions in 2002 and 2010.
Southard was charged with a third-offense DUI; failure to have a registration plate light; and failure to report an address change.
He was released on a $3,020 unsecured bond.
