Helen Ann Davidson, nee Pettyjohn, longtime resident of Dover Delaware, passed away on 23 March 2013 at the age of 96. Helen was born in Dover in 1917, the daughter of late Mr. & Mrs. Warren W. Pettyjohn. Helen married the late Ernest Alfred Davidson in 1940 and spent her early years raising their children and supporting Ernest in his professional career.
A devoted hobbyist, Helen built miniature houses, painted, sculptured, created cards and drawings and dabbled in almost every aspect of arts and crafts. She was also a known in Dover as a scratch golfer and a longtime volunteer at the Dover Library's "Carriage House".
Helen passed peacefully near the home of her son in Downers Grove, Illinois and is survived by, son Brad Davidson, daughter Judie (Davidson) Von Eiff, grand-children Jessica Davidson, Blaine (Davidson) Loffredi, Krista (VonEiff) Hanks, and George Frederick (Chip) VonEiff, and six great grand-children Dominic and Julia Loffredi, Ryan and Megan Hanks and Ava Rae Berlin and Jake Monnot. Interment will be in August at Arlington National Cemetery alongside her late husband Ernest. She will be remembered as a fun-loving and devoted Mom, Mom-Mom and Mom-Mom-Mom by her three generations of descendants who will miss her dearly.
