Two men face drug charges following their arrests in two incidents March 26.
Harrington Police officers have arrested two men on drug charges in separate incidents
The arrests took place March 26, said department spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode.
In the first, officers stopped a car on Route 13 that was being driven in the area of Route 14. After contacting the driver, identified as Jason B. Strain, 32, of Seaford, officers found 7.9 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Brode said.
Strain was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired tags, no insurance card and no registration. He was later released pending a future court appearance.
In the second incident, police stopped a car driven by Edwin D. Banks, 27, of Smyrna while on patrol on Route 13. Officers detected the odor of marijuana while speaking to Banks, Brode said.
A computer check showed Banks was wanted out of Laurel Alderman Court and was driving on a suspended license. A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia also was found during a search of the vehicle.
Banks was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked, failure to have insurance identification, failure to have registration information and failure to remain within a single lane.
Banks was released from custody on a $1,138 unsecured bond.
