On the girls side of things, Brianna Reaves, NaShea Hagaman and Tazia Anderton return to solidify what should be a very strong girls squad.

2012-2013 Record: Boys (11-1) Girls (12-0)
Head Coach: Boys – Chris Hurd Girls – Brian Berns
Key Returning Players: AJ Trammell, Austinio Brown, Daylakashawn McDonald, Andrew Thompkins, Hope Brown, Danastacia Cropper, Tyra Reid
Season Outlook: After falling in only 1 meet combined all season between the boys and girls squads last season, the Riders would be hard-pressed to duplicate last campaigns run. While both sides are losing some key contributors, the Riders still return some of their core group as well as some newcomers who are ready to make some noise.
Both squads hope to have yet another successful regular season, once again using it to propel themselves to further success in the State Championships.
From the Coach: “We have many short term goals, including staying healthy, being sportsmanlike, and giving our best to the competition,” said Caesar Rodney Boys Head Coach Christopher Hurd. “But, our primary objective is the State Meet and competing well there. Last year we finished second and we would like to improve on that this year. We believe we have the team to do it and the team is training hard. The other coaches and I have been very impressed with how hard they are working. It is going to be an exciting year for the team and many of our athletes, regardless of our final place on May 18th.”

While many of their contributors from last season have moved on, that leaves spots open for underclassmen and new senior leaders to make their mark for the Panthers.

School: St. Thomas More High School
2012-2013 Record: Boys (0-7) Girls (0-7)
Head Coach: Randy Delgado
Key Returning Players: Kevin McLane, Marianthi Bousses, Rachel Frebert and Molly McElligott.
Season Outlook: Due to a small amount of participants, the St. Thomas More Ravens Track & Field teams tallied zero wins as a team last season.
This season, the boys have only four members including returning standout Kevin McLane, along with newcomers Riley Reif, and David and Jon Titus.
On the girls side, they have three returnees including Marianthi Boussess, Rachel Frebert and Molly McElligott. Alaina Robinson, Megan Sullivan and Darien Manges round out the list of newcomers on the girls side.
With team victories basically an impossibility, the focus will be on the individual athletes and perhaps qualifying for the state championships.
