  • A Marydel man has been jailed after a gun was found following a Delaware State Police investigation into a loitering complaint.
The suspect was identified as Tyrell Clark, 28, of Marydel, said police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier. Troopers went to the Autumn Run apartment complex March 21 after receiving reports about people loitering in the parking lot, an area marked by No Loitering signs.
Troopers contacted Clark as he was leaving a Dodge van parked at the site, and was arrested when troopers discovered he was wanted on a bench warrant out of Kent County Superior Court. Troopers searched the van, and found a loaded revolver where Clark had been sitting, Fournier said.
Clark was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and a single count of loitering. He was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of a $20,100 secured bond.
The other person in the van, identified as a 49-year-old Felton man, was issued a criminal summons for loitering and then released.
