  • MSGT James Richard White, Sr. of Wyoming, DE passed away Sunday March 17, 2013 at home. He was 82.

    Mr. White was born October 27, 1930 in Axtell, Kansas to the late James White and Virgie Temple White.

    He served 20 years in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer, and logged time on the KC97, C-133 and the C5A.

  • MSGT James Richard White, Sr. of Wyoming, DE passed away Sunday March 17, 2013 at home. He was 82.
    Mr. White was born October 27, 1930 in Axtell, Kansas to the late James White and Virgie Temple White.
    He served 20 years in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer, and logged time on the KC97, C-133 and the C5A. After his retirement he worked and retired from Reichold Chemical Company. He volunteered for Camden Little League and the DAFB Hospital. Mr. White enjoyed gardening, outdoors and Friday night dinners. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and the Camden Wyoming Little League.
    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby A. Bates White, 2001 and son, Randy White, 2008.
    He is survived by three sons, Michael White and his wife Susan, James White and his wife Gail and Dennis White and his wife Nory; grandchildren, Steven, Mandi, Derrick, Matt, Heather, Cody and Parker; sister, Nina Leonard; brothers, Robert White and Kay White; great grandson, Brandon.
    Funeral and Interment will be held 11AM, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE. Friends may call from 6-8pm Wednesday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover.
    In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Dr. #302, Newark, DE 19713 or Foundation Fighting Blindness, 7168 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 100 Columbia, MD 21046.
