  • Kent County Master Gardeners offer scholarship opportunity

  • The Kent County Master Gardeners are accepting applications for their 2013 Scholarship program.  The scholarships are open to anyone who has been a resident of Kent County, DE, for at least two years prior to the application date, and is enrolled in, or has been accepted by, an accredited college or university to study agriculture or an agriculture-related field.
    Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and  include a short essay of his or her educational goals, two letters of reference or recommendation from a non-relative one preferably being academic with their application. 
    Applications will be judged on GPA, the appropriateness of the field of study, leadership activities, and community involvement.  A personal interview may be requested.  The scholarship is paid directly to the college or university.
    Applications must be post marked by April 30.
