  • Suspects wanted in Hartly home invasion

  • Delaware State Police detectives are currently investigating a Hartly home invasion that occurred early Wednesday.
     The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m.. as two men pulled up to the residence located in the unit block of Brittney Drive in a blue vehicle. One of the men entered the main residence while the other went to a motor home parked in the driveway, police said.
    Upon entering the main residence, one of the men confronted a 29-year-old victim with a handgun and removed his wallet from his pocket before ordering him outside. Once outside, the suspect then assaulted the victim knocking him to the ground. The suspect then ran to the motor home where an apparent physical altercation ensued between a 54-year-old man and the two suspects. The suspects then fled the area in an unknown direction. The 29-year-old victim was treated at Kent General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the altercation. The 54-year-old victim was initially treated at Kent General before being flown to Christiana Medical Center where is currently listed in critical condition. Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact Troop 3 Major Crimes at (302) 741-2812.
