Fairview Elementary School is scheduled to host a 5K run/walk and community outreach health fair to promote health and raise funds to help support a cure for diabetes this weekend.

The race and fair will be held at Capital School District's Fairview Elementary School located at 700 Walker Road in Dover from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Capital Board of Education President Kay Dietz-Sass said.

Local vendors will be available with information and fun activities for participants. Admission to the health fair is free and will begin at 9 a.m. in the gymnasium at Fairview, she said.

Registration for the race is $25 and $15 for students through the 12th grade.

Dave's Road Bikes of Dover has donated a bike for a raffle prize and raffle tickets are available for anyone interested.
