A Dover man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly receiving a large shipment of marijuana from California.
An investigation conducted by the Delaware State Police, Dover Police Department, the Tracy (Calif.) Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration resulted in the seizure of a large amount of marijuana at the home of Larry Feldman, 63, State Police Cpl. John Day.
A search warrant was executed at Feldman's residence in the 100 block of Midessa Crossing at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, Day said. Detectives forced entry into the residence after the occupants refused to answer the door.
Police recovered more than four pounds of marijuana from a box that had just been delivered from California, Day said. Also recovered were 12 grams of marijuana stored in a freezer, a digital scale, and a marijuana pipe.
Detectives determined that the resident of the home, had shipped the marijuana from California to himself. He was taken into custody and transported to Troop 3, where he was charged with attempted possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on $5,500 unsecured bail.
