  • A family with young children was robbed at gunpoint during a home invasion at a house in the unit block of Boyd Drive in Magnolia Tuesday night.

  • A family with young children was robbed at gunpoint during a home invasion at a house in the unit block of Boyd Drive in Magnolia Tuesday night.
    The incident occurred at 9 p.m. Tuesday when a 27-year-old man answered the door to his home and found a man who claimed to have been sent over by a neighbor, Delaware State Police Cpl. John Day said. The man at the door then produced a handgun and pushed his way into the kitchen of the home, which was occupied by a 26-year-old female, a 50-year-old female, and four small children.
    The suspect demanded money, and one of the females turned over cash, Day said. The suspect then fled from the residence on foot.
    The suspect was described as a black male, with an average build, wearing dark clothing, Day said. No further physical or clothing description available.
    Delaware State Police is asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit at 302-697-2104.
