  • Two 13-year-old girls are facing criminal charges after getting into a fight at W.T. Chipman Middle School in Harrington on Friday.
Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode said the girls – one from Harrington and one from Felton – assaulted each other during the melee at the school in the 100 block of West Center Street.
The Felton girl also attempted to choke the student from Harrington, he said.
Each of the teens is charged with offensive touching and disorderly conduct, while the Felton girl also is charged with strangulation.
The girls were each released to the custody of the parents, pending future court dates at Kent County Family Court, Brode said.
