  • Camden Town Councilman Larry Dougherty and challenger Richard Snyder have filed to run for the one council seat open during the town's next election scheduled for late February.

  • Camden Town Councilman Larry Dougherty and challenger Richard Snyder have filed to run for the one council seat open during the town's next election scheduled for late February.
    Both Dougherty and Snyder submitted a letter of intent to the town clerk by the Jan. 25 deadline, according to Camden Town Council minutes.
    Camden's municipal election is scheduled for noon to 8 p.m. Feb. 23, , Mayor W.G. Edmanson said at Monday night's Town Council meeting. Voters must go to the King Meeting Room at the Camden Municipal Complex, 1783 Friends Way, Camden, DE.
    In other news, Edmanson welcomed new Town Clerk Jamie Fenske at Monday night meeting. She replaced Amanda Wooleyhand, who was promoted to accounting specialist to replace Lisa Driggins.
    Wooleyhand attended council's Monday night meeting to help train Fenske.
