  • Dover Police make drug arrest following traffic stop

  • Dover Police arrested a man after after they observed him attempt to swallow a bag of marijuana at a routine traffic stop.

  • On Tuesday, Jan. 29 the Dover Police Department Drug, Vice and Organized Crime Unit along with Operation Safe Streets Unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Officers observed the passenger in the front seat attempting to swallow a bag of what they suspected was marijuana. After officers removed the suspect from the vehicle, he attempted to flee on foot. The suspect was apprehended after a struggle with officers. 6.9 grams of marijuana was recovered. The suspect was identified as Marcus Bolden. He was later released from Justice of the Peace Court on unsecured bond.
