Colleen Seeney Winchester of Dover passed away Tuesday January 22, 2013 at Cadia Capital Rehab Center. She was 64.
She was born November 7, 1948 in Dover, Delaware to Mary Ellen Seeney Gonzalez.
Colleen served in the United States Army Reserve. As a Native American Indian she was a member of the Nanticoke Tribe of Delaware. She enjoyed cross stitching, daily bible readings and helping others. Colleen was the happiest at just being a grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Ellen Seeney Gonzalez; her daughters, Sonya R. Taylor and her husband Howard, Julia L. Stone and her husband Christopher; her loving sister, Kimberly L. Dixon and her husband Greg; grandchildren, Maiah E. Taylor, Aja E. Taylor, Jasmine E. Stone, Christopher J. Stone, Jr.; nephew, Daniel A. Koehler; niece, Sarah E. Koehler and several other nieces and nephews; uncles, Walton and Mortimer Seeney.
Thanks to the Staff of Delaware Hospice and Cadia Capital Rehab Center for their care and special thanks to Colleen’s loving friends that supported her throughout her life during her extended illness.
Memorial services will be held 1pm on Sunday January 27, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
