Fight the flu by washing your hands this winter.

Want to stay healthy this winter season? Try this simple trick: wash your hands.
It sounds simple…and it is! With flu season hitting the East Coast with full force, it's more important than ever to do what you can to prevent the dreaded bug. Today, the wellness experts on ATI’s Worksite Solutions team bring you what you need to know about the art of hand washing.
Always wash your hands…
1. Before preparing or eating food
2. Before or after caring for someone who is sick
3. Before or after treating a cut or wound
4. After going to the bathroom
5. After changing diapers or cleaning up a child
6. After handling uncooked foods
7. After blowing your nose or sneezing
8. After handling an animal or animal waste
9. After dealing with any items contaminated by flood water or sewage
How to wash your hands properly…
Place hands together under warm water. Rub your hands together for at least 20 seconds. Wash your hands thoroughly, including wrists, palms, back of hands, and under fingernails. Rinse the soap from your hands. Dry your hands completely with a clean towel or air dry your hands. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
